Max graduated from the 3200 hour Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College in 2018 where he gained much of his skills by treating a variety of populations from outreaches such as the West Vancouver Senior Activity Center, Harbour Dance Studio, The Hive Bouldering Gym, Vancouver General’s Spinal Cord Injury Center (ICORD), and St. John’s Hospice.
Throughout his practicum and work experience, he developed a strong belief in the importance of patient centered care, and how everyone from children to seniors, people with sedentary lifestyles to weekend warriors, can all benefit from massage therapy through individualized treatments.
Max focuses every treatment on addressing the root cause while paying attention to patient’s current symptoms. His treatments mostly incorporate techniques such as Swedish massage, myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilization, IASTM work, active and passive stretches. At the end of every visit, he often provides specific home care instructions, which he believes is just as important as the treatment itself.
Outside of work, He enjoys training at the gym, skateboarding, cooking, and drawing.
Max is fluent in English and Mandarin.
