Why Lansdowne-area Patients Choose Artemis
Several specific patient profiles travel to us from the Lansdowne area:
Kwantlen Polytechnic University students and staff — KPU’s Richmond campus is at 8771 Lansdowne Road, immediately west of Lansdowne SkyTrain. Students often book RMT or acupuncture for stress/exam anxiety; staff for desk-related neck and back issues. Many students also pursue ICBC active rehab after Lower Mainland collisions.
Lansdowne Centre office and retail workers — the mall has substantial office space plus retail staff. Standing-all-day workers and seated screen workers both come to us. Lunch-hour 30-minute appointments are popular.
SkyTrain commuters working downtown Vancouver — the Canada Line connects you to downtown in 25 minutes. Many of our regular patients are downtown workers who book evening appointments at Artemis on their commute home (much cheaper and often easier than downtown clinics).
ICBC patients across central Richmond — many of our ICBC active rehab patients live in the Lansdowne, Garden City, and Brighouse residential corridors. We direct bill ICBC for all five disciplines under Enhanced Care.
Athletes training at Minoru Park, Richmond Olympic Oval, or Garden City community centre — full multidisciplinary support for sport injury, return-to-training, and performance. See our from ICBC discharge to performance kinesiology pillar.
The Five Disciplines, One Stop South
We are a true multidisciplinary clinic — five regulated disciplines coordinated under one roof:
- Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) — Director Dave Tam plus Samuel Cabuay and Jonae Ablao. 30 to 90 minute sessions. Common techniques: Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, myofascial release, trigger point, cupping.
- Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine — owner Mandy Tam (R.Ac, R.TCM.P) handles pain, fertility, women’s health, sleep, anxiety, post-MVA recovery. Mandy speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
- Physiotherapy — manual therapy, exercise prescription, modalities, movement re-education. Strong ICBC active rehab focus.
- Chiropractic — manual adjustment, soft tissue technique, postural assessment.
- Kinesiology — exercise prescription, post-discharge active rehab, return-to-sport programming.
Multidisciplinary advantage: combined visits possible, internal handoffs without re-telling your story, coordinated treatment plans across disciplines. See our physiotherapy near Brighouse SkyTrain guide for details on the transit-accessible angle.
